Delta Kappa Gamma inducts newest member | Feature Story
Greenville’s chapter of a professional society for women educators inducted a South Central High School teacher as its newest member.
Sandra Satterthwaite was inducted into the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma on Feb. 20. Satterthwaite teaches Japanese at South Central.
Her love for teaching began as a tennis instructor for Greenville Recreation Parks, a news release from the group said. She realized that she wanted to make learning as fun for her students as her teachers at Wahl-Coates Elementary School did for her.
Satterthwaite said hopes to inspire students with a similar passion for Japan to go forward and develop the interest as a career and much more as she did.
Delta Kappa Gamma seeks to unite women educators to advance the professional interests and positions of women in education.
